Learning From Progress Addressing Cancer in Europe (OBS-PACE)

With Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan (EBCP), the European Commission follows a new approach to cancer prevention, treatment and care. The action ‘OBS-Learning From Progress In Addressing Cancer In Europe’ (OBS-PACE) contributes to this by improving the understanding of the national cancer control situation and policy actions in EU Member States.

Network

The OBS-PACE network is an international group of cancer experts collaborating with the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies to document and analyze innovative examples of cancer care and policy across countries. The network comprises experts who:

  • Have extensive knowledge in cancer care, policy, and/or health systems management
  • Conduct independent, high-quality research on cancer-related topics
  • Have established reputations in both national and international cancer research communities
  • Maintain strong connections within their country's cancer care and policy networks
  • Demonstrate experience in international collaborative projects and publications

These experts describe and analyze cancer-related actions in their respective countries, including the implementation of Europe's Beating Cancer Plan through National Cancer Control Programmes.
