Updates
Changes to patient registration and appointments scheduling
17 July 2025 | Country Update
As of April 2025, healthcare institutions must publish at least four
months of doctors’ work schedules in the e-Health system. At least 80%
of appointments must be reserved for the general flow of patient visits;
the remaining places can be reserved for urgent or follow-up visits.
Patients will be able to schedule appointments up to four months in
advance, instead of the previous one- to two-month period. In case of
unavailability, the patient is put on a waiting list and receives the
service when further appointments become available, or if a patient who
is already registered declines a consultation. This measure is expected
to reduce waiting times and increase transparency of waiting lists.
