Overview

The SoHEU Country Health Profiles are a collaboration between the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), carried out in cooperation with the European Commission.

The 2023 editions cover health status in the country; health determinants and risk factors; the organization and financing of the health system; an overview of the effectiveness, accessibility and resilience of the health system; and a spotlight on mental health and services in the country.

The 2023 Profiles focus on the legacy of the COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges facing countries’ health systems in delivering services, investing in health system recovery and resilience, improving critical areas of the health sector and better preparing for future emergencies.
