Denmark: Country Health Profile 2025
State of Health in the EU
Overview
This 2025 edition of the Country Health Profile presents a succinct analysis of health status in the country; health determinants and risk factors; the organization and financing of the health system; an overview of the effectiveness, accessibility and resilience of the health system; and a spotlight on the pharmaceutical sector policies in the country.
Looking at health system resilience, key priorities include easing pressures on service delivery, strengthening health infrastructure and workforce capacity, adapting crisis preparedness strategies, supporting digital innovation and safeguarding long-term sustainability.
The profiles are the joint work of the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), in co-operation with the European Commission, as part of the 5th State of Health in the EU cycle.
