Overview
The population in Wales tends to be older, poorer, and sicker than those in neighbouring countries. To address these health inequalities, future generations-focused health policies have been embraced, and support is being provided for health and wellbeing projects aimed at addressing these disparities. A prime example is the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015. Additionally, close collaboration with the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe has been established, and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed with a focus on health equity.WHO Team
