Overview
The 17th European Public Health Conference in Lisbon focused on engaging students, young, early-career and established professionals in developing innovative public health solutions. The conference highlighted five key areas: artificial intelligence, global health collaborations, health inequalities, social marketing, and the One Health approach. These themes aim to empower the public health community with practical, interdisciplinary skills to address crises like pandemics and climate change. Public health curricula are gradually integrating innovation-focused content but require more hands-on training. By fostering mentorship, technological proficiency, and policy advocacy, students, young, and early-career professionals can drive effective, sustainable public health strategies for the future.WHO Team
