Overview

Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan is one of the European Union’s (EU) responses to the growing burden of cancer in the EU. It addresses the whole disease pathway, from prevention, early detection, diagnosis and treatment to quality of life of cancer patients and survivors. Adopted in 2021 with a budget of €4 billion, including €1.25 billion coming from the EU4Health Programme, it reflects the political commitment to leave no stone unturned to take action against cancer.
