Overview
Being able to measure efficiency is one of the cornerstones of assessing the performance of health systems and can help to achieve several objectives, such as allocating resources in the best possible way to meet population needs and health system goals; maximizing value for money in terms of the resources spent; contributing to improving quality of care for health services users; and improving population health outcomes.
