Hospitals today face a huge number of challenges, including new patterns of disease, rapidly evolving medical technologies, ageing populations and continuing budget constraints. The organization of hospitals and specialist services therefore need to change to meet these challenges.

Consequently, many countries in Europe are implementing wholescale reforms of hospital networks and the experience in Denmark has served as an inspiration for some. But what can we lean from hospital reforms in other countries? What are the key factors for success? What are the key challenges? Are there overarching trends in hospital reform programmes in different countries? Join us to find out!
