WEBINAR 18 April 2023, 12:00-13:00 CET
Primary care is the foundation of the health system, but many countries in Europe struggle with shortages and the equitable distribution of general practitioners (GPs).
One of the root causes for these challenges is the perception among medical students and doctors that primary care is not an ‘attractive’ career option. In most contexts this is reinforced by substantial pay differentials and perceived low status between GPs and specialists.
So how can we make working in primary care more attractive? What evidence is available to inform policy-making? Should we focus on medical education, working conditions, workforce planning, or all of the above? Join us to find out!
