Covid-19 vaccination rollout: Reflecting on the Israeli experience
Tuesday 16 February 2021 from 12:00-13:00 CET
Following the rapid development of effective COVID-19 vaccines, countries are now facing the challenge of rapidly rolling out vaccination programmes to immunize the population and restore as much of normal life as quickly as possible. The example of Israel is often presented as the model for early rollout of COVID-19 vaccinations but what were the specific factors contributing to this early success? What was the contribution of existing infrastructure, organizational and health workforce capacities? What are the lessons and concerns for the long term? How might other countries use this experience when swiftly scaling up their vaccination programmes? Join us in this webinar to reflect on the Israeli experience of COVID-19 vaccination rollout.
