Updates
National electronic immunization registry
28 July 2025 | Country Update
The Knesset (parliament) passed an amendment to the Public Health
Ordinance mandating the creation of a national electronic immunization
registry, which took effect in March 2025. All vaccine providers
(including the Ministry of Health MoH, municipalities, health plans,
hospitals and private providers) must report administered vaccines to
the MoH using standardized digital systems. The MOH is required to take
measures to protect privacy and information security. Individuals can
access their vaccination records through the government’s or the HPs’
personal electronic medical records. All providers can access
immunization records. The registry is intended to improve continuity of
care, enable better outbreak response and enhance public health
surveillance. The law was passed in part to strengthen preparedness for
future pandemics and public health emergencies.
