Nicole Mauer
Biography
Nicole is a Technical Officer based at the Observatory’s Secretariat in Brussels.
Her work focuses on innovation, evidence-informed health policy and health systems in Europe. She supports the Observatory’s portfolio on innovation and contributes to knowledge-brokering through a range of activities including reports, policy briefs and webinars. She also supports the Observatory’s country monitoring activities through the State of Health in the EU programme and as the HSPM country co-editor for Malta.
Nicole holds a medical degree from the University of Milan (Italy), a medical doctorate from the University of Heidelberg (Germany) and an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (UK). Her research interests include health policy and systems research at European and global level, social determinants of health, and climate and health.
