Biography

Louise is part of the team contracted to work with the Observatory at the Berlin hub and is based at the Berlin University of Technology.

Louise supports various Observatory projects, including the OBS-PACE project. Her main research interests include the health care workforce, integrated care, comparative health systems, and global health.

Before pursuing her academic studies, Louise worked as a registered nurse in an emergency department in Berlin, gaining first-hand experience of the practical challenges facing health systems.

Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, Louise holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from the Berlin School of Public Health, during which she studied at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome, Italy, as part of the Erasmus programme. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
