Johra Ferrah
Biography
Johra joined the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies in 2020. With over fifteen years of experience across private and public sector organizations, she helps connect research, policy, and civil society by organizing high-level events both online and in person, as well as facilitating collaboration among the Observatory’s hubs, multilateral institutions, and country partners.
Before joining the Observatory, Johra worked within the French Prime Minister’s services at the National Ethics Advisory Committee (CCNE), where she organised nationwide hearings on bioethics and health policy ahead of the revision of France’s bioethics laws. She also served as Executive Assistant for International Affairs and to the Director of the National Agency for Research on AIDS and Viral Hepatitis (ANRS–INSERM).
Johra is a guest lecturer at the Universities of Brussels and Liège, where she has taught the role of social participation in health governance.
