Biography

Astrid is part of the team contracted to work with the Observatory at the Berlin hub.

Astrid has been a Research Fellow with the Technical University of Berlin’s Department of Health Care Management since March 2020 and a member of the Observatory’s Berlin hub since January 2021.

She supports various Observatory projects, including the State of Health in the EU profiles, the Health Systems in Action Insights pilot series, and country monitoring, where she is the editor for the HSPM platform for Denmark, Germany, and Hungary. She also serves as an editor for the Health System Review (HiTs) on Denmark and Hungary. Astrid‘s primary research interests include coverage of and access to health services, including sexual and reproductive health, health promotion and preventive services, health communication and health system performance assessment.

Astrid holds a Master’s in Political Science from Aarhus University, Denmark. During her studies, she also worked as an intern at the Danish Ministry of Health, where she mainly worked on projects relating to hospital policy.
